L’Orchestra Erasmus in concerto a Siviglia per celebrare la partecipazione civica dei giovani
Il 4 aprile alle 18:00 al Fibes di Siviglia la musica dell’Orchestra Erasmus aprirà la conferenza “Erasmus+ event: dissemination of the EU values”, davanti
ad oltre 2000 giovani per imparare e discutere del futuro della mobilità e celebrare i valori dell’essere cittadini europei. Il concerto si svolge in concomitanza
dell’Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) 2024.
Tra gli interventi istituzionali in programma anche quello del vicepresidente della Commissione europea Margaritīs Schoinas, che introdurrà la giornata dopo
il video della Presidente Ursula von der Leyen.
Il concerto sarà introdotto dalla coordinatrice dell’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ INDIRE, Sara Pagliai, e dal Direttore dell’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ spagnola SEPIE, Alfonso Gentil.
L’Orchestra è formata da 50 musicisti/studenti, provenienti da circa 60 Conservatori di tutta Europa, che hanno svolto o che stanno svolgendo un’esperienza
di mobilità internazionale Erasmus.
La direzione del concerto è affidata dal Maestro Elio Orciuolo, con un programma sinfonico e di arie d’opera di alcuni dei più grandi compositori europei,
da Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, de Falla e Puccini, impreziositi da una performance di danza curata dal Conservatorio di danza “Antonio Ruiz Soler” di Siviglia.
L’organizzazione del concerto ha visto il supporto del Conservatorio di musica “Francisco Guerrero” di Siviglia e Orchestra Giovanile Andalusa – OJA e la Giunta dell’Andalusia.
L’esibizione dell’Orchestra Erasmus si inserisce nel programma della Conferenza “Civic participation and EU values. Make Europe shine!”, organizzata da SEPIE,
l’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ spagnola dal 3 al 5 aprile, per l’iniziativa “PEACE – Participation Erasmus Alumni for Civic Engagement”, un’attività di cooperazione coordinata dall’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ INDIRE con l’obiettivo di sviluppare momenti di confronto e disseminazione con una rete di stakeholders del
Programma sul tema dell’impegno civico e della partecipazione alla vita democratica.
Il concerto e la prima giornata di EGM saranno trasmessi in diretta streaming su YouTube.
Cos’è l’Orchestra Erasmus
L’Orchestra Erasmus nasce nel 2017, in occasione dei 30 anni di Erasmus, su iniziativa dell’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ INDIRE.
L’iniziativa ha un significato simbolico e intende diffondere i valori della “Generazione Erasmus” – aperta, dinamica, solidale – e dell’Europa, sfruttando la musica
come metafora di integrazione, di incontro e di sviluppo di competenze oltre ogni barriera linguistica, geografica e culturale.
L’Orchestra ha anche l’obiettivo di promuovere le tante opportunità di formazione e mobilità Erasmus+ per gli studenti del settore di Alta Formazione Artistica
e Musicale (AFAM) e contribuire a valorizzare i talenti e l’eccellenza dei Conservatori e degli Istituti Musicali europei, promuovendo collaborazioni e partenariati
che offrano opportunità di internazionalizzazione ed esperienze professionali per i giovani musicisti.
All’iniziativa collabora dal 2023 anche AEC, l’Associazione europea dei Conservatori.

The Erasmus Orchestra in concert in Seville to celebrate the civic participation of
young people
On April 4th, at 6 pm, at Fibes in Seville, the music of the Erasmus Orchestra will kick off the “Erasmus+ event: dissemination of the EU values”, at the presence
of 2000 young people from all over Europe to celebrate the values of being European citizens.
In the same place the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) 2024, at the presence of Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas,
and of Spanish Educational Authorities and with the video message by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
The concert will be introduced by the coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE, Sara Pagliai, and by the Director of the Spanish Erasmus+ National
Agency SEPIE,
Alfonso Gentil.
The Orchestra consists of 50 musician/students from approximately 60 Conservatoires throughout Europe, who have undergone or are undergoing an
Erasmus international mobility experience.
The concert will be conducted by Maestro Elio Orciuolo, featuring a symphonic program and opera arias by some of the greatest European composers, including
Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, de Falla, and Puccini, enhanced by a dance performance by the “Antonio Ruiz Soler” Conservatoire of Dance in Seville.
The organization of the concert has received support from the “Francisco Guerrero” Conservatoire of Music in Seville and the Andalusian Youth Orchestra
– OJA and the Regional Governament of Andalusia.
The performance of the Erasmus Orchestra is part of the program of the Conference “Civic participation and EU values. Make Europe shine!”, organized by SEPIE,
the Spanish Erasmus+ National Agency from April 3rd to 5th, for the “PEACE – Participation Erasmus Alumni for Civic Engagement” initiative, a cooperation activity
coordinated by the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE aimed at developing moments of discussion and dissemination with a network of Program stakeholders
on the theme of civic engagement and participation in democratic life.
The concert and the first day of EGM will be livestreamed on the event’s website.
What is the Erasmus Orchestra
The Erasmus Orchestra was established in 2017, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Erasmus, at the initiative of the Erasmus+ Italian Agency INDIRE.
The initiative holds symbolic significance and aims to spread the values of the “Erasmus Generation” – open, dynamic, and supportive – and of Europe,
using music as a metaphor for integration, encounter, and the development of skills beyond any linguistic, geographic, or cultural barrier.
The Orchestra also aims to promote the many training and mobility opportunities offered by Erasmus+ for students in the field of Higher Artistic and
Musical Education (AFAM) and contribute to enhancing the talents and excellence of European Conservatoires and Musical Institutes, promoting collaborations
and partnerships that provide internationalization opportunities and professional experiences for young musicians.
Since 2023, the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC) has also been collaborating in the initiative.
